San Diego Human Dignity Foundation Announces 2008-2009 Community Grant Program
Request for Proposals Now Available to Non-Profits Serving San Diego’s LGBT Community
San Diego, CA, September 1, 2008 - The San Diego Human Dignity Foundation, in partnership with San Diego Pride and the Foundation’s generous donors are pleased to announce its 2008 – 2009 Community Grant Program. Up to $30,000 will be awarded to qualified non-profits serving San Diego’s LGBT community.
The competitive grant process will be managed by the San Diego Human Dignity's Foundation Grants Committee, comprised of a diverse group of community representatives, will be making grant award recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval. Funding priorities include civil rights advocacy and education, youth, seniors, families and health services.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) is available online at www.myLGBTfoundation.org or by contacting the SDHDF at 619.291.3383. All grant applications must be received by October 15, 2008. Grant award recipients will be notified by early December.
