She is now also a facilitator for Google’s initiative #IamRemarkable. empowering women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.

Mady is the oldest of five siblings, a wife, and the mother of two brilliant kids. She immigrated from the Philippines and is no stranger to hard times. She was there when the volcanic ashes of Mount Pinatubo buried most of the province (county) of Pampanga, her hometown. It was during this time, while helping her family and local neighborhood, that her sense of service was instilled. It wasn’t until she was in America that she learned to feel good about helping others. This is just an odd paradigm in the Philippines, where everyone is expected to help others, especially those in need, regardless of your feelings. Service is just really in her DNA.
